Stephanie May Morris, age 79, was taken home to The Lord on Saturday 16th January 2021. Steph was a greatly loved mother, grandmother, sister and friend. She worked as a primary school teacher, including as a teacher of children with special needs. She especially enjoyed spending time with her children and grandchildren, and delighted in the family pets including her own cats and chickens. Stephanie loved ballet, opera, literature and poetry. She enjoyed creative writing and amateur dramatics, and was a member of local arts groups. Steph treasured the freedom she felt when out in the fresh air, and was most happy when spending time in her garden, swimming in the sea or walking in the Sussex countryside. Always generous and ready to help those she saw in need, Steph had a great desire to tackle inequality. Her family set up this Candlelight Fund to support people living in poverty as a practical way to honour her memory and the example she set.
